In an earlier lesson we saw Keith demonstrate practicing the double stroke roll by accent the 2nd note of each double stroke.


One way to spice up your sextuplets around the kit is to start breaking them up between your hands and your feet.


Here are some 6's that you can play by using 4 strokes with the hands and 2 strokes with your feet.



Triplet pattern starting a quarter note pulse with the hands and ending the triplet out with the feet.

Triple Beat is simple the double beat exercise with one more tap added. You can also combine the warmups alternating between the two.




4's and 3's was taught by Steve Hall of Marshall University. A cool warmup that he enjoyed watching us struggle to march to...but we did it.
