  Damien Schmitt comes from a long line of musicians, having begun his professional drumming career at the young age of four, accompanying his parents in the family’s orchestra; He continued with the orchestra until he was 20. Thereafter, Damien began his independent career in Paris where he honed his craft in jazz fusion. He has worked with such jazz greats as Jean Luc Ponty, Frank Gambale, and Zap MaMa as well as Alain Caron, Hadrien Feraud, Dominique Di Piazza, Sixun, and Lionel Louèkè.
