Drummer Event: Holiday Jazz Concert with Don Capone and Friends

Don Capone is currently
appearing in the Tampa Bay area with
a variety of working groups and he is
covering the whole gamut of musical
styles. Recently he has finished recording
a Jazz CD with a group on the scene
in clubs in the Tampa area.Come out this Monday to help support and honor Armed Forces Veterans by enjoying some great jazz music as Don Capone and Friends present this years Holiday Jazz Concert. The show starts at 6pm so make sure to get there early and help spread some holiday cheer. While your there you can ask Don how you can order his newest CD Spontaneity as well as Come In Out Of The Old. Don also teaches within the Tampa area. For more info visit Don's website HERE.

Drum Lessons: Changing Genres

Here is an example of applying one style of music to another. In this lesson I take a jazz pattern which is played on the toms and tweak it to fit a more aggressive style of music.....METAL! In doing so you start to see how one genre of music influnces another. Other such examples are Classical to Jazz, and Latin to Rock.
