Here's a nice lick that I picked up off the John Blackwell DvD - Technique, Grooving and Showmanship. He calls it the Marcus Willams Pattern. In this video I am playing the hands in unison but you can also play them as single strokes around the kit which transforms the feel and sound of the lick.
