Pacific (by DW) has for sure stepped it up with the Platinum series line of their drums. They have upgraded the hardware, added new configurations, and now they have added some new high-quality finishes to their line. The Platinum series is PDP’s flagship line, with 8-ply North American maple shells, double-oval tube lugs, and now a bevy of new finishes. Over 20 were introduced at NAMM 2009.       This July 4th, 2008, we at Drummer Connection threw quite a party and had lots of drumming going on out at my house.  We had enough drummers on hand, and 4 drumsets going, to keep the party going on all night. This past Tuesday we at Drummer Connection decided to take a trip from Orlando out to Tampa Bay Florida to scout out some of the area drum stores. We also needed to purchase some more gear and possibly another set for the studio, so our entire day was focused on the shopping experience.
