What file format, size, or settings are best for playalong video?

Looking for info on what file format, size, and settings are best for video playalong to upload. Maybe an entry in the general FAQs like "Uploaded file format requirements" could be added for photos, audio, and video in one place.
Just got my first camcorder so Im totally clueless regarding video. Suggestions, warnings, or advice appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, you can upload wmv, flv (highly recommended), mov, avi, mpeg or MPG, m4v, etc. I think they wall work. You can't go wrong with Quicktime!

Eric's right, I've used the flv format and have had great success. I've also had really good luck with quicktime files as well. Good luck & looking forward to seeing some of your videos on the site!
