We decided to grab a camera and film ourselves out in the Drum Room miking up the DW kit. Thought we'd take a second and share some tips that have worked for us over the years. Here's part 2!

Great stuff, now show me how to stop my bass drum resonating with my floor tom, and my snare resonating off my rack tom, and the wierd hummmmm off my ride cymball ha ha can you tell that I have been pulling my hair out this weekend? everytime a new buzz or humm grrrr, thanks for the post!

Great lessons guys! We appreciate all the time and work you put into this. I was definitely interested to see what microphones you were using b/c the drums do sound excellent on the videos. I had never even seen those Beta 98s. I learned a lot about placement from this as well...wish I had seen this years ago before I started fumbling around with haphazard miking techniques! Thanks again!
