Benny Greb - Interview

Today there are many many distinguished drummers making a living in various parts of the world. Whether or not they're known outside their respective countries is a matter of talent, exposure, and notoriety. Born in the small village of Augsburg, Germany Benny Greb is very well established throughout his native land and across the continent of Europe. Performing in various projects ranging from pop,fusion, jazz, and brass bands, he's become an accomplished musician and engineer who's played on everything from drum kits to percussion instruments to… cars?
Possessing a passion for education Benny has just released a new DVD through Hudson Music called The Language of Drumming. Encompassing a ten year stint of Benny's philosophy and teachings, it's sure to be a hot seller - only to solidify his presence in the drumming community on a more global scale. Not yet a household name in the United States, Meinl Cymbals had the pleasure of introducing Benny to the nation by sponsoring his first U.S. clinic tour. With his long expedition wrapping up in the sunshine state, we were able to catch up with Benny at All Pro Percussion in Tampa, FL to get his take on the whole experience.
