and the problems with this drum kit pointed out in this video, this is a
great kit for the price bracket that it's in. Approximately $1,000
street price - factor in a few bucks for some new heads and maybe taxes.

This kit was damaged in shipping somewhere... we checked out a couple other Dios kits and they did not have the problems with the cracked shell like this one did. Regardless, it didn't hurt the sound.

The Dios kit was one of the kits I was looking at when I bought my Superstars. They do sound amazing but I was a little wary about the hardware...lugs like that make me nervous about strength, durability and possible shell damage. ddrum can fix the air ports with a dab of loc-tite on the threads or a thin pressure washer or lockwasher. Great review...well done Eric!

I appreciate your honesty on the Ddrum kits.I have had some problems with lugs on our kits in the studio.We love the kit and have posted alot of videos on youtube and got alot of good comments on this kit.We had to switch to another kit because of the down time and no help from Ddrum.we talked to them @namm 2010 and brought this up with them,(no names please).Thanks again DC
P.S.)Is there still going to be a Ddrum Syndicate party this year ? Iam #16
