Musician's Friend just arrived at my doorstep and on it was an
outstanding picture of Vinnie Paul and his new signature series drum
kit from ddrum.
The snare drum is killer! 8" x 14" 6-ply North American maple shell with Satin Bullet Lugs, Chrome Diecast hoops, Nickelworks throw-off and a custom Vinnie Paul signature badge. Musician's Friend price is $339.99 for this drum.
Be sure to check out ddrum.com for more of Vinnie Paul's Signature products, as well as the new Carmine Appice signure line. ddrum has really stepped up their product line for 2009 and they mean not only business, but quality!

The kit is baaaaaaad man. I came so close to getting one myself but who am I kidding? I'm not vinnie paul. It's way too big for me. Badass snare though, sounds killer!

Last year before finding out about Vinnie Paul and Carmine Appice being added to the DDrum family,I purchased a Defiant series kit. Yup, the one shown right on the Drummers Connection site. What a kick ass set! The year prior my band performed on the same stage as Hell Yeah did, I got to listen in on sound check of Vinnies kit as well as look up close and then set my kit directly in front of his. i stayed for the Show and was Lovin it! Got to sat hello to Vinnie as well.

Yeah I saw that drum up at the 09' Winter NAMM! It was pretty cool being up there with ddrum, and I got the opportunity to set up Vinnie Paul's kit at ddrum's booth :]

I had the honor of visiting ddrum a few months back before the NAMM show and I checked out the "Top Secret" prototype of this drum. I was amazed at the design work ddrum put into it. I'm very pleased to see them feature Vinnie's new kit on Musician's Friend magazine this month. Rock on ddrum!
