Classic flashback warm up from the good ol days of marching band. This is a triplet based exercise with emphasis on the Moeller technique.

In an earlier lesson we saw Keith demonstrate practicing the double stroke roll by accent the 2nd note of each double stroke.

One way to spice up your sextuplets around the kit is to start breaking them up between your hands and your feet.

A brief explanation of the 5 stroke roll.

This is a pattern which alternates from a triplet to a five stroke roll. The transition is fairly easy as long as you maintain a quarter note pace of R,L,R,L.

Here are some 6's that you can play by using 4 strokes with the hands and 2 strokes with your feet.
