Damian:  What's up Guys?  I'm out here at Winter NAMM having a great time.  We're hanging out with Los Cabos drumsticks, taking a quick moment to stop over with these guys.  I met them summer NAMM and they're a great company and have great sticks.  Here's Stephanie Gay, she's going to give the walk through on what we can expect from them in the next year.

Stephanie:  Hey guys, what's going on?  I'm here with Los Cabos, like Damian said my name is Stephanie Gay, artist relations.  We are a small drumstick company outside of Reddington, New Brunswick, a 45 minute drive away from Sabian cymbal if that helps you locate where we are at all.  We make your basic standard models, your 5a, 5b, 7a, all the stuff that you guys like to play.  We make it in hickory and red hickory which is a new thing we just started.

Damian: So this is one of the newer products you guys are having this year?

Stephanie:  Yes, it is.  The red hickory is nice because its grown in the middle of the tree.  It's a lot denser, the grain is tighter and it can be a lot heavier but it's a durable long lasting stick.  So if you're a heavy hitter or a hard player, you're probably going to want to look into something with red hickory, which only Los Cabos is doing right now - really pushing it.  So we feel this year you're going to get your bang for your buck - Ha ha!  Anyway, we also make really good maple sticks.  A lot of the maple comes from Canada.  That's just a little run down, I don't want to bombard you with too much info, but if you want more information, check us out on the web at www.loscabosdrumsticks.com.  Check me out!

Damian: Check out the red hickory sticks exclusively at Los Cabos.  Winter NAMM, signing off, Drummer Connection.

Check out what Los Cabos Drumsticks has to offer for the 2009 year with their new red hickory drumsticks! Check'm out at http://www.loscabosdrumsticks.com/

That girl seems fun. I'm interested to see the weight difference with the red hickory.

I kinda like the red hickory sticks. I wonder how they would hold up on tour.

Awesome man, thanks for visiting the site and it was cool to bump into you several times (again) at this NAMM. Weird how paths cross... I seem to remember you a few times at Summer NAMM also!

Peace,
