An Interview with Kevin Connolly - Blue Man Group

Kevin Connolly is a professional musician in the industry, and can be found in Orlando Florida's home to Blue Man Group, Sharp Aquos Theater at Universal Studios. He is the lead percussionist for the neon painted, flurocent glowing Blue Man band. Kevin started his Blue Man Group career as a drum tech working at the Las Vegas producitons at The Luxor Hotel and Casino and later at The Venetian. After auditioning, he landed the role as main performer during the last month of his stay in Las Vegas, afterwhich he moved to Orlando, and became lead percussionist for the newest USA Blue Man Group venue at Universal's CityWalk. Originally from the Tampa/Orlando area, Kevin's life has come full circle in his musical career, but in his eyes, there's still much more drumming to do!

On the side, Kevin performs with Blue Man Group's front running team captain in Orlando, Anthony Parrulli in a provacotive, comedic opening band act called "The Schmeltz." Along with three other members, Kevin and Anthony perform at local gigs throughout central Florida, and currently working on a studio album, with a 5 track demo EP already released
