We packed our camera's and wish-list's in hope to have a good experience, and of course try to leave with more than we brought. In fact, we had both a pleasant experience, and we left with some goods.
So we got there, and the first we noticed was all the eye candy all along the store-front window.
Walking in, all you could see was drums and percussion gear everywhere!
I came across this very unique set of Zildjian 16" K "Light Hi Hat" cymbals. Not seen in many stores, that's for sure.
What was pretty cool was that Drums2Go offers private drum lessons, and they teach their students between two sound-tight drum rooms! Unfortunately I wasn't able to snap pictures of both because one of them was in use, but I got one of them to get the basic idea. Each room has two kits, and can be recorded for playback and practice purposes.
They had a wide range of snare drums, and get this, Eric ("drumfreak") snagged an awesome deal on this beautiful 6.5x14 Ludwig Black Beauty!
All in all, our visit to Drums2Go was well worth the drive. Great faculty, great drums, great deals! We'll be stopping at Drums2Go more in the future!

That was a good field trip for sure!

Yes for sure!
Just a correction.. there's 3 practice rooms :) They are all really nice and have been used by many people for a long time including myself when I bought my first kit from there and took lessons with Cadillac. That was I think around 2004 - 2005 timeframe. I did notice an Alesis Muti-Mix 8 USB Ipod recorder in there. Shane was telling me about the ability to record your lessons right to the ipod and take it with you when you go. That's pretty sweet.
The store has held its ground very well and the one thing is for certain, you always get a knowledgeable staff who's very friendly.
Nice article Keith!
