Steve also recently completed a three week tour of Europe. The first two weeks were dedicated to clinics in Italy and Germany and was a continuation of his Sonor 30th Anniversary tour. The last week was spent with Vital Information in Poland.

Steve kept a daily journal of this travels for Sonor and Hudson Music.

On October 24, Steve and Pete Lockett performed together at the Montreal Drumfest. The duo played many compositions based on Indian rhythms and did a short clinic explaining some fundamentals of applying Indian rhythms to the drumset.

Steve and Pete were joined by Scott Atkins for a drumline trio in the middle of the set. Scott works for the Canadian distributor of Sonor drums, Coast Music. He is also a world-class snare drummer and composer for drumlines. Scott has written some drumline compositions using Indian rhythms and Steve, Pete and Scott demonstrated the application of Indian rhythms to drumline.

After the performance with Steve and Pete in Montreal, John DeChristopher and Aaron Jackson from the Zildjian Cymbal Company presented Steve with an award commemorating his 30 years as a Zildian Cymbal endorser. Steve has been playing Zildjian Cymbals since he bought his first cymbals in 1967, but he officially signed on with Zildjian as an endorser in 1979. The beautiful framed Zildjian Cymbal has been signed by Cragie and Debbie Zildjian, master cymbalsmith Paul Francis, and John DeChristopher, Vice President, Artist Relations and Event Marketing Worldwide.
