Thanks to Johnny Rabb and Mike Snyder's awesome demonstration abilities at Winter NAMM 2008 this year, we decided to go ahead with our purchase of the Roland TD-9 Electronic Brain / Sound Module.

Discuss NAMM 2008 Roland TD-9S Demo with Mike Snyder
I was skeptical to purchase the Roland TD-9 Brain / Sound Module because I was afraid the harness / cables to connect the V-Drums to it would not come with the brain and I would have to go on a hunt to find one. I ordered one up from Musician's Friend and sure enough, it shipped with the cable harness! Thank You Roland!
Here's the package contents.
For those of you that are not aware of how the new Roland TD-9 Brain / Sound Module connects to the V-Drum pads, it uses a new single-plug method for the back of the brain to reduce the wiring hassles.
I am extremely happy to also announce that this brain has 2 inputs for the hi-hat so that you use the Roland VH-11 floating hi-hat!
So now that I don't need wires, wiring harnesses, or cables for the TD-9, I'm ready to rock out on this and will be recording some audio and jamming to it later on. I'll update this blog, or do another one for the audio that I get out of this bad boy!

Ahhhh Yes!
Are you going to try to hook them to the TD-20s?

COOL
I wish they used the old cables, this setup makes it hard to add on extra drums. Great brain though!

Re: COOL
The harness has quite a few inputs on it already. When I explore it more later on and swap out my TD-20 brain for testing, I'll take pictures and give more information on it. But, this seems like an easy method to transport / disconnect / connect your kit.

Here's how it sounds
This is Day 1.5 with the Td-9. I'm short one cymbal and my hi-hat won't calibrate, so it's kinda stuck open, but here's how it sounds. Me loving my TD-9:
