I have been doing this drum thing now since I was 10. I'm currently 45, so you can do the math because I counted enough this past weekend at the gig. It is much easier for me to have you hit my personal website as well as my band website to give a more in depth idea of the "who", "what" and "why" I eat, live, sleep, think and play drums. It's very simply put: "It is my passion", and I take my playing seriously. My love for drums, and the effectiveness in learning to read drum score, understand what the notes mean, and where to effectively place them is immense. I am a working drummer, and I have played in many bands from the garage band days to my current project. I teach professionally, and I have a wonderful group of students from ages 8 to age 50. My adult students are just as hungry as the kids, and I take pride in watching them grow as drummers in their own world in which they perform. I have been given the fortunate chance to study with several great instructors, some not so well known, and some known very well around the area in which we all work and play. I reside in the beautiful state of Maryland around the Chesapeake Bay area, which puts me close to Philly, NYC, and Baltimore. Three great cities that come alive with music throughout the year. I do studio work as well, and have enjoyed the benefits of working with some really wonderful musicians, all of which share the same passion of creating music. My style and preference of music are quite vast, as I enjoy great Rock-N-Roll as well as great Jazz and funk. I'm a huge fan of Tower of Power, and I have had the opportunity to meet and sit with David G. and take a few creative pattern lessons with him. I enjoy shopping around for great snare drums, and have quite the collection. (You gotta check out the Maryland Drum Company website).... Please feel free to jump into my guest book, drop me a line, share your stories and talk drums because there is nothing better than getting to know other drummers and learn something new. Every one of us has a gift and sharing the gift with others that have the same interests is something that I enjoy tremendously! Rock on my friends!
Feel free to drop me a line!
