This lesson is a tiny bit sporadic; the original idea was to teach a short lesson on the 32nd note lick on beat 4. As I was filming I kept getting new ideas and kept adding to the video. It turned out to be 40 minutes of video, which I squeezed down to 10. The concept here is to show how small ideas can go a long way if you take the time to experiment with them. Have fun and practice slow, there is a little something for everyone in this one.

This is a poly-rhythmic concept that you can add over top of a half time shuffle groove. It is an idea taken from Dennis Chambers. The idea is not to learn the things Dennis played note for note and stop, but to be able to take his concepts and ideas and apply them to your own playing in a personal expression.
