I've had a Drum Dial in my drum room for years, I love them. It's always nice to check out your tension with a dial and see how you're drum is doing. It also gives you pretty accurate tuning. These are my techniques and I will still tune the drum on the kit... minor tweaks or a complete retune. Remember, Drop Tune, and Check out Bob Gatzen's Tuning Lessons on youtube

In this video Joe focuses on tuning the bottom head. Proper tuning of your drums can make or break the sound that you get out of them.
For this lesson, I thought I’d share a couple of techniques I’ve picked up over the years that really come in handy when shopping for sticks and heads.

Here’s a video lesson I’ve been wanting to do for a while based on
requests. How to record your Drums – Audio and Video – with backing
audio to your computer. This guide will cover how to buy the mics,
cables, stands, and a USB Mixer to connect to your computer. The goal was to keep the Audio / Visual aspect below $1,000 budget for a home drummer who's serious and wants to get started. Please add to the discussion and let us know if you have anything to add! All drum recordings in this video were created using this exact setup.
